This special one-of-a-kind ancient Entwined Stone was found in a dry streambed in the northwestern New Mexico High Desert east of the Chaco Canyon Region (near Santa Fe, NM). It has such character! The smooth underside side shows this is a river rock from ancient times when the land was lower and rivers once ran here. The rough topside shows it was naturally encrusted with a thick hard plastering of rough material. It is beautiful! The stick was found on private property at Ghost Ranch under a grand tree. I love its texture and coloration and knew this stick belonged bound to this rock. The twin round black leather lacings entwine the stick separated by the crowning cork button. This unique rock is a personal favorite and I know it will be going to a great home.
